Job summary

Spring Independent School District Transportation is seeking a Bus Driver with a CDL to safely transport students on scheduled routes in the Houston area. Immediate start available with a 180-day schedule and a nonexempt wage structure.

The role requires a valid Texas CDL Class B, State Bus Driver Certification, and successful behind-the-wheel training, along with a demonstrated ability to maintain discipline and ensure student safety throughout daily operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Valid Texas commercial driver’s license (Class B)
• State Bus Driver’s Certification course
• Successful completion of behind-the-wheel training course
• Criminal history acceptable; clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Drive students to and from school safely.
• Abide by the time schedule of assigned route(s).
• Obey all traffic laws and department policies.
• Maintain student discipline on the bus in a positive and caring manner.
• Load and unload students as required to maintain daily schedule.
• Perform emergency bus evacuation procedures when necessary.
• Maintain current route maps and folders; obtain supervisor approval for changes.
• Maintain seating charts for elementary and middle school students.
