Job summary

Katy ISD Transportation is seeking an Attendant - Personal Care in Houston to support students with diverse transportation needs during a split shift. You will assist with personal care and custodianship under the Driver Manager, ensuring safety and dignity for students during bus transport.

The role requires basic education, the ability to follow instructions in English, and strong empathy for Special Needs students.

Qualifications

• College hours, high school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Good medical health to assist in emergencies.
• Ability to understand and respond to verbal and written English.
• Ability to work productively without continual supervision.
• Interest in and empathy for Special Needs students.

Responsibilities

• Follow Katy ISD policy and procedures during loading/unloading of students with special needs.
• Must demonstrate reliable and regular attendance.
• Provide behavior management observation and student discipline assistance during transport of Special Needs students.
• Establish and maintain a good relationship with students, parents, school personnel and co-workers.
• Must attend route drive days with the driver to learn the route and equipment needs.
