Job summary

Conecta Education is hiring a Special Education Teacher in the greater Solano County area for a full-time role from August 2026 to June 2027. The position runs 5 days a week, 35 hours (8:00 to 3:30 p.m.), serving elementary or middle school students with mild/moderate needs.

A California Special Education Credential is required with a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced responsibilities.
• Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504 and IEP processes.
• Experience designing differentiated instruction for diverse learners.
• Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction to students with IEPs, adapting curriculum to meet individual needs.
• Implement and monitor IEP goals and objectives.
• Conduct ongoing assessments and progress monitoring with documentation.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists and parents.
• Supervise paraprofessionals and support staff in the classroom.
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide progress input.
• Utilize assistive technology to support learning.
• Maintain accurate records of performance, attendance, and behavior.

Job Description:

• Deliver instruction to students with IEPs, adapting curriculum to meet individual learning needs.
• Implement and monitor IEP goals and objectives.
• Conduct ongoing assessments and progress monitoring; maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to provide coordinated support.
• Supervise and work with paraprofessionals, behavioral aides and any other support staff in the classroom.
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on student performance and progress.
• Support positive behavioral interventions and classroom management strategies.
• Utilize assistive technology and other resources to enhance student learning.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
• Attend professional development, staff meetings, and trainings as required.
• Uphold confidentiality and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (IDEA, FERPA).
• Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Valid CaliforniaSpecial Education Teaching Credential(mild/moderate credential)
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices (IDEA, Section 504, IEP process).
• Experience designing and implementing differentiated instruction for diverse learners.
• Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills.
