Job summary

Conecta Education is hiring a Resource Special Education Teacher in the greater Monterey County area to support students with IEPs and implement differentiated instruction. This full-time position runs 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 3:30 p.m., with a mild/moderate or moderate/severe CA credential and a starting pay of $65 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential (mild/moderate or moderate/severe).
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Knowledge of IDEA, FERPA, and IEP process; differentiated instruction for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction to students with IEPs, adapting curriculum to meet individual learning needs.
• Implement and monitor IEP goals and objectives.
• Conduct ongoing assessments and progress monitoring; maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to provide coordinated support.
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on student performance and progress.
• Support positive behavioral interventions and classroom management strategies.
• Utilize assistive technology and other resources to enhance student learning.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
• Attend professional development, staff meetings, and trainings as required.
• Uphold confidentiality and compliance with IDEA and FERPA.

Job Description:

• Experience designing and implementing differentiated instruction for diverse learners.
• Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills.
