Job summary

Conecta Education is currently hiring a Special Education Teacher (M/S/ESN) in the greater Santa Cruz County Area. This full-time position runs from August 2026 through June 2027, with a 35-hour work week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 3:30 p.m., including a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

• Valid California Single Subject or Education Specialist credential.
• Knowledge of state standards, IEP development, and special education laws (IDEA, Section 504, ADA).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with moderate to severe disabilities.
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs.
• Provide direct instruction in academic, social, communication, and life skills.
• Conduct ongoing assessment and progress monitoring; adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with general education staff, specialists, and families to support inclusion and student success.
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports; comply with state and district regulations.
• Supervise paraprofessionals and support staff as needed.
• Support positive behavioral interventions and implement Individual Behavior Plans as applicable.

• Must have a mod/sev/ESN
• Elementary or middle school age students
• Pay starts at $70an hour!
