Wake County Public Schools seeks a dedicated educator to develop and implement IEPs for students with disabilities. The role involves applying specially designed instruction, monitoring progress, and collaborating with a team to support diverse learners.

Strong knowledge of USD Office tools and Google Apps is required; a valid NC Exceptional Children’s license is preferred. This is a full-time position based in a school setting with regular professional development opportunities.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
• Hold or be eligible for a North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in an Exceptional Children’s teaching area.

Responsabilidades

• Develops IEPs for students with disabilities; updates IEPs based on diagnostic information.
• Implements instructional strategies and progress monitoring tools for specially designed instruction.
• Assists students in completing curriculum tasks and achieving IEP goals.
• Employs varied teaching methods and adaptations to meet student needs.
• Monitors student behavior and maintains classroom discipline; deescalates behaviors.
• Attends IEP meetings and collaborates with team members.
• Keeps abreast of trends and best practices in instruction via professional development.

Formação académica

Bachelor’s degree from regionally accredited college/university

NC Professional Educator’s License in Exceptional Children’s teaching area
