Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
• Hold or be eligible for a North Carolina Professional Educator’s License in an Exceptional Children’s teaching area.

Responsibilities

• Develops IEPs for students with disabilities and updates them as needed.
• Implements instructional strategies and progress monitoring tools.
• Assists students in completing curriculum tasks and IEP goals.
• Uses varied teaching methods and adapts materials to meet student needs.
• Monitors behavior and maintains classroom discipline; deescalates when needed.
• Attends IEP meetings and collaborates with the team to support student progress.
