Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
• Hold NC Profes­sional Educator’s License in Exceptional Children or be eligible.
• Must hold and maintain a valid NC driver’s license per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develops IEPs for students with disabilities; updates as needed based on assessments.
• Implements instructional strategies and progress monitoring for SAD instruction.
• Assists students in completing curriculum tasks and IEP goals.
• Uses varied teaching methods and materials to meet diverse needs.
• Monitors student behavior, maintains classroom discipline, and de-escalates when needed.
• Evaluates student work and coordinates progress/report card grades.
• Attends IEP meetings and collaborates as part of the team.
• Keeps current on trends and best practices through professional development.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
