Qualifications

• Valid PA certification in Special Education PK-12, 9-12 or N-12.
• Experience with urban educational settings preferred.
• Ability to develop rigorous lesson plans and assessments.
• Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
• Knowledge of Special Education laws and assessment practices.
• Proficiency with Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with admins and staff to plan for special education student learning.
• Develop, modify, provide and assess specialized instruction per PA standards.
• Design lessons using unit and co-teaching structures aligned to standards.
• Create learning resources and participate in professional development.
• Maintain records and report student progress according to policies.
• Coordinate delivery of supports via students' IEPs.
• Communicate with families regularly.
