Qualifications

• Must hold valid PA certification in Special Education.
• Ability to present information clearly to admins, staff, parents, students and the public.
• Modify curriculum materials to meet student needs.
• Strong knowledge of behavior management principles.
• Use de-escalation techniques to manage aggressive situations.
• Ability to interpret FBA and develop Positive Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Use data collection and analysis to monitor Behavior Improvement Plans.
• Knowledge of Assistive technology (e.g., iPad).
• Knowledge of universal precautions.
• Create an educational environment reflecting the educational process.
• Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated, independent, cooperative, flexible and responsible.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Outlook).

Responsabilités

• Develop and write re-evaluation reports based on assessments and data.
• Develop and deliver an appropriate IEP for students.
• Evaluate academic, behavior and social progress toward IEP goals using data and observation.
• Prepare progress reports and required state/district paperwork within timelines.
• Maintain accurate FE paperwork and student records per regulations and guidelines.
• Establish and enforce rules for positive behavior and classroom procedures.
• Collaborate with parents and service providers to implement IEPs with accommodations.
• Adapt curriculum to meet individual needs and modify as required.
• Follow all policies and rules governing students.
• Maintain professional demeanor and comply with district conduct policies.
• Coordinate with co-workers and support staff in the classroom.
• Utilize email, MS Office, and student information systems for communication and records.
• Complete other duties as assigned by leadership.
