Job summary

Propel Hazelwood is hiring a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The role focuses on developing and delivering specialized instruction for students with special needs, aligned to Pennsylvania standards, and coordinating with staff and families.

Qualifications

• PA certification in Special Education PK-12, 9-12, or N-12 is required.
• Urban education experience preferred.
• Ability to develop rigorous lesson plans and assessments.
• Strong communication and relationships with families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with administrators to plan services for special education students.
• Develop and modify specialized instruction aligned to Pennsylvania standards.
• Design and use inclusive instructional strategies and co-teaching structures.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Maintain up-to-date records and communicate with families regularly.
• Coordinate with school personnel to implement IEPs and supports.
