Propel Schools is seeking a High School Special Education Teacher (Grades 9-12) for the 2026-2027 school year. The role emphasizes collaboration with administrators to plan and lead specialized instruction aligned with Pennsylvania Common Core Standards.

Qualifications

• PA certification in Special Education PK-12, 9-12 or N-12.
• Experience working with the special education school age population preferred.
• Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Design coherent instruction aligned with state standards and best practices.
• Develop and update learning resources; participate in professional development.
• Create a respectful instructional environment that promotes learning.
• Engage students with diverse instructional strategies and student-centered approaches.
• Manage classroom procedures and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Assess student learning and use results to drive instruction.
• Coordinate with school personnel the delivery of SPED supports in IEPs.
• Maintain records and report student progress.
• Communicate with families regularly.
