Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher for elementary students with IEPs. You will design engaging lessons, deliver targeted instruction, and collaborate in a learning center or classroom setting to meet diverse needs.

You will implement PBIS, track progress, and develop comprehensive plans while aligning with state standards. This role emphasizes innovation, growth, and student empowerment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or related field.
• Licensed or in process of obtaining IL PEL credential.
• IL SSE or LBS1 credential in process or obtained.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
• Experience with curriculum development, differentiation and instruction.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for Elementary students with IEPs.
• Deliver targeted instruction and create personalized lesson plans.
• Implement PBIS strategies and track student progress.
• Collaborate in co-teaching environments to meet IEP goals.
• Prepare detailed daily lesson plans aligned to standards.
• Adapt content for diverse learning needs and styles.
• Maintain organized student records and reports.
• Support school community with additional duties as assigned.
