Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education, a ChanceLight company, seeks a Special Education Teacher to lead instructional processes for elementary students with IEPs in our learning center or classroom. You will design dynamic, personalized lessons, deliver targeted instruction, and use innovative resources to foster student growth.

You will collaborate with staff to implement PBIS, monitor progress, and adjust teaching strategies to meet diverse needs while aligning with state

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or related field.
• Licensed or pursuing IL PEL credential.
• Licensed or pursuing IL SSE or LBS1 credential.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
• Experience with curriculum development, differentiation and instruction.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for Elementary School students with IEPs.
• Deliver targeted instruction and create personalized lesson plans.
• Implement PBIS strategies and manage classroom environment.
• Track student progress and generate progress reports.
• Collaborate in co-teaching environments to meet IEP goals.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs.
• Use educational software and resources to support learning.
• Maintain organized student records and schedules.
• Engage with parents and school staff to support student growth.
• Adapt curricula to align with state standards and learning objectives.
