Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher for elementary students. You will design engaging, individualized learning experiences, deliver targeted instruction, and coordinate with specialists to support IEP goals in a learning center or classroom.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or related field.
• Licensed or pursuing IL professional educator credential (PEL).
• IL SSE or LBS1 credential in process or obtained.
• Experience with curriculum development and differentiation.
• Experience in special education and IEPs.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for elementary students with IEPs in learning centers or classrooms.
• Deliver targeted instruction using innovative curriculum resources and software.
• Design comprehensive lesson plans aligned with standards and student needs.
• Maintain student progress records and generate reports on achievements.
• Collaborate in co‑teaching settings to meet IEP goals with differentiation.
• Manage classroom environment and PBIS strategies to support student growth.
• Engage families and school staff, and participate in ongoing professional development.
