Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education seeks a Special Education Teacher for our Elementary learning center. You will design personalized learning experiences, deliver targeted instruction, and align lesson plans with IEP goals in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities include implementing PBIS, differentiating instruction, and tracking student progress in a supportive, innovative environment. A passion for empowering diverse learners is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required.
• IL professional educator credential (PEL) in process or obtained.
• IL SSE or LBS1 credential in process or obtained.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
• Experience with curriculum development and differentiation in special education.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for elementary students with IEPs.
• Deliver targeted instruction using innovative curriculum resources.
• Create lesson plans aligned to standards and IEP goals.
• Collaborate in co‑teaching environments to meet diverse needs.
• Track progress and document student achievements and activities.
• Maintain organized and safe classroom environment; manage materials.
