Job summary

Ombudsman Educational Services in Woodridge, IL is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join our Alternative Education team and empower elementary students with IEPs. You will design personalized lessons, integrate technology, and deliver targeted instruction in a learning-center or classroom setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education, special education or a closely related field.
• Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an IL professional educator (PEL) credential.
• Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an IL state SSE or LBS1 credential.
• Ability to obtain and maintain crisis management training certification.
• Experience with curriculum development, differentiation and instruction in special education settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for Elementary School students with IEPs.
• Deliver differentiated and targeted instruction in a cohort or co-teaching setting.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and interventions.
• Prepare detailed daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
• Track student progress and generate comprehensive progress reports.
• Collaborate with staff to support PBIS and inclusive classroom practices.
