Job summary

Ombudsman Educational Services seeks a Special Education Teacher to lead instruction for elementary students with IEPs in a learning center or classroom. You will design dynamic, personalized learning experiences, integrate educational software, and create detailed lesson plans while aligning with state standards.

The role emphasizes PBIS, differentiated instruction, collaboration with staff, and ongoing professional growth in a supportive, mission‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education, special education or a closely related field.
• IL professional educator credential in progress or active.
• IL SSE or LBS1 credential in progress or active.
• Experience in curriculum development, differentiation and instruction.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for elementary students with IEPs in learning centers or classrooms.
• Deliver targeted instruction and comprehensive lesson plans aligned to standards.
• Utilize PBIS strategies and maintain student progress documentation.
• Develop and update IEP goals and interventions; track progress and report findings.
• Collaborate with staff to differentiate content for diverse learning needs.
