Job summary

Ombudsman Educational Services in Illinois seeks a Special Education Teacher to lead instructional planning for Elementary School students with IEPs, delivering dynamic, personalized learning in the learning center or classroom.

You will implement differentiated instruction, utilize innovative curricula and software, and develop detailed daily plans aligned with standards, while collaboratively supporting student growth and program success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education, special education or a closely related field.
• Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an IL professional educator (PEL) credential.
• Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an IL state special education (SSE) or learning behavior specialist (LBS1) credential.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company approved crisis management training.
• Prior experience with curriculum development, differentiation and instruction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the instructional process for Elementary School students with IEPs, designing dynamic learning experiences.
• Deliver targeted instruction using innovative curriculum resources and educational software.
• Create comprehensive lesson plans aligned to state and school standards.
• Manage a diverse caseload with IEP goals and interventions.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs in co-teaching settings.
• Collaborate with staff and families to support student growth and program success.
