Job summary

Ombudsman Educational Services in Illinois is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in an Alternative Education setting. You will design engaging, standards-aligned lessons for students with IEPs and collaborate with a learning team to drive student growth.

Qualifications include IL PEL or SSE/LBS1 credentials, a Bachelor's in Education or related field, and experience with differentiation, PBIS, and curriculum development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or related field.
• Currently licensed or pursuing IL PEL credential.
• IL SSE or LBS1 credential in progress preferred.
• Experience with curriculum development and differentiation for IEP-based instruction.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for Elementary School students with IEPs.
• Deliver differentiated instruction and create lesson plans aligned to standards.
• Collaborate in co-teaching environments to meet IEP goals.
• Track student progress and generate reports on student achievement.
• Adapt curriculum to diverse learning styles and needs.
• Implement PBIS strategies and manage a dynamic classroom.
