Job summary

Minnetonka Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional/Special Education Para for Clear Springs Elementary. The position is 6.5 hours per day, 184 days per year, with a minimum hourly rate of 24.31 dollars for 2026-2027.

It supports students in both regular and special education classrooms and includes CPI and district training opportunities. This benefit-eligible role requires strong organizational and communication skills, ability to document data daily, and teamwork with teachers and staff

Qualifications

• Must meet highly qualified status as defined by MDE from day 1 of employment.
• Experience with behavior modification strategies and CPI preferred.
• Ability to document observational data and maintain logs.

Responsibilities

• Support, modify, and monitor individualized instruction in academic areas and behavioral programs for special education students.
• Assist with self-care tasks; assist with repositioning and basic medical procedures under supervision.
• Operate special education equipment and supervise their safe use.
• Apply student management techniques to prevent self-destructive behaviors.
• Participate in IEP and school conferences as requested.
• Record daily data, maintain behavior charts and attendance logs.
• Perform related duties as needed and participate in professional trainings.
