Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience supporting student instruction in classroom settings preferred.
• Strong communication and positive interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and follow direction from supervising teacher.

Responsibilities

• Support, modify, and monitor individualized instruction for special education students in 1:1 or small group settings.
• Assist with self-care tasks including feeding, dressing, toileting; may involve repositioning and basic medical procedures under supervision.
• Operate special education equipment and supervise safe use of augmentative communication devices and assistive technology.
• Apply student management techniques to prevent or stop challenging behaviors and document observations daily.
• Participate in IEP conferences and meetings with staff and parents as requested.
• Maintain logs, data records, and behavior charts; track student attendance daily.
