Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Texas seeks a Special Education RISE teacher to work with a wide range of learners. You will prepare and adapt instruction across subjects, develop IEPs, monitor progress, and engage families to support student success.

The role emphasizes collaboration with families and colleagues, implementing IDEA curricula, and maintaining high expectations while delivering targeted supports. This is a full-time position in a school environment with after-hours tutoring potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Valid Texas state certification in Special Education (required).
• Appropriate grade and subject core content certification(s) or Texas Core Content Competency Worksheet (required).

Responsibilities

• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students.
• Develop IEPs for a caseload of students.
• Implement IEPs and assess student progress.
• Communicate progress with families weekly.
• Host tutoring sessions after school or on weekends.
• Maintain a consistent behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
