IDEA Public Schools in Texas seeks a Special Education teacher for the RISE program. The role focuses on serving students with diverse disabilities, delivering core subjects, and providing resources and family support.

Teachers work to meet high achievement expectations, develop and monitor IEPs, and engage families for long-term planning. Includes stipends and additional compensation opportunities for certifications and leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience in a Special Education classroom preferred.
• Texas state Special Education certification required; appropriate core content certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Adapt lessons to meet diverse student needs.
• Develop and implement IEPs for a caseload.
• Coordinate related services and attendance for IEP goals.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Communicate progress with families weekly.
• Host tutoring sessions after school or on weekends as needed.
