Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Texas seeks a Special Education RISE Teacher to serve students with diverse disabilities, delivering Reading, Writing, Math, History and Adaptive PE with high expectations.

You will develop IEPs, implement state standards, collaborate with families, coordinate related services, and participate in weekly meetings. A Bachelor's degree and Texas Special Education certification are required; tenure‑based stipends and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four‑year institution is required.
• Valid Texas Special Education certification is required; appropriate grade/subject certification or TX Core Content Competency is required.
• Experience in a Special Education classroom with significant disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adapt lessons to meet diverse student needs.
• Develop and implement IEPs for a caseload of students.
• Collaborate with families and related services providers.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction based on data.
• Maintain weekly lesson plans and update gradebook regularly.
• Support school culture and student transitions.
