IDEA Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the RISE program. You will design and deliver instruction to students with diverse disabilities, develop and implement IEPs, and collaborate with families and staff to support college readiness.

The role requires Texas Special Education certification, a bachelor’s degree, and a commitment to high expectations and family engagement. IDEA offers extensive benefits and a supportive community.

Competenze

• Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Experience: Experience in a Special Education classroom setting with students who have significant disabilities (strongly preferred).
• Licenses or Certifications: Valid Texas state certification in Special Education (required); appropriate grade and subject band certification(s) or Texas Core Content Competency Worksheet (required).

Mansioni

• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students.
• Develop IEPs for a caseload and implement them.
• Assess student progress and update IEPs throughout the year.
• Communicate weekly with students and families about progress.
• Coordinate related services for students on caseload.
• Host tutoring sessions after school or on Saturdays as needed.
