IDEA Public Schools in Texas is seeking a dedicated Special Education RISE teacher to serve students with a wide range of disabilities. You will adapt lessons, develop IEPs, implement progress tracking, and communicate weekly student progress with families.

RISE teachers collaborate to support families, coordinate related services, and participate in ongoing professional development. A Bachelor’s Degree and Texas Special Education certification are required.

Qualificações

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required)
• Experience: Experience in a Special Education classroom setting with students who have significant disabilities (strongly preferred)
• Licenses or Certifications: Valid Texas state certification in Special Education (required); appropriate grade and subject band core content certification(s) or Texas Core Content Competency Worksheet (required)

Responsabilidades

• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students
• Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for a caseload of students
• Implement IEPs, assess students’ performance, and track their progress
• Update IEPs throughout the school year to reflect students’ progress and goals
• Communicate students’ progress with student and family on a weekly basis
• Host necessary tutoring sessions to meet all students’ needs
