IDEA Public Schools in Texas seeks a dedicated Special Education RISE teacher to serve students with diverse disabilities. You will design and implement instruction across core subjects, develop IEPs, and support families in planning for long-term outcomes.

The role emphasizes collaboration with staff to ensure high expectations and student achievement. The RISE program focuses on independence through support and education, with opportunities for stipends, leadership roles, and weekend tutoring

Formación

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Experience: Experience in a Special Education classroom setting with students who have significant disabilities (strongly preferred).
• Licenses: Valid Texas state certification in Special Education; appropriate grade and subject band content certification(s) or Texas Core Content Competency Worksheet (required).

Responsabilidades

• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students in Special Education.
• Develop IEPs for a caseload of students and implement them.
• Coordinate related services for students on caseload.
• Track student progress and communicate with families weekly.
• Host tutoring sessions when needed and participate in meetings and duties.
