Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Texas is seeking dedicated Special Education RISE teachers to support students with diverse disabilities across Reading, Writing, Math, History, and Adaptive PE. You will deliver high-quality instruction and provide resources and guidance to families for long-term planning.

RISE teachers implement IEPs, monitor student progress, and collaborate with families, teachers, and administrators to ensure growth and success within a standards-aligned curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution.
• Experience in a Special Education classroom setting with students who have significant disabilities.
• Valid Texas state certification in Special Education and core content areas.

Responsibilities

• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students.
• Develop IEPs for a caseload of students.
• Implement IEPs and track progress.
• Communicate progress with students and families weekly.
• Coordinate related services for students on caseload.
• Host tutoring sessions as needed.
• Participate in weekly manager check-ins and school meetings.
