Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising, caring for, and instructing special needs students in various settings.
• Reinforce IEP goals and objectives under supervision.
• Administer first aid and medical assistance as directed.
• Administer tests, homework, and makeup work.
• Assist students with daily living activities and personal care as needed.
• Communicate with teachers about student progress and IEP implementation.
• Monitor student behavior and safety during non-classroom time.
• Record keeping and data collection to support instruction.
• Provide instruction in small/large groups to reinforce objectives.
• Respond to emergencies and apply de-escalation techniques when necessary.
• Support crisis intervention procedures as required.
• Assist with hallways, lunchroom, restrooms, and bus duty as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
