Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools seeks a Para AUT-Moderate-Level II - Special Education at Summerour Middle to support instructional programs for special needs students, assist in implementing IEP goals, and help with supervision in classrooms and community settings.

The paraprofessional role involves adapting activities, providing first aid, administering tests, supporting teachers, and attending IEP meetings to reinforce learning and safety.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate supports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard school software.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff, students and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising and instructing students with disabilities in various settings.
• Support implementation of IEP goals and objectives.
• Adapt activities and materials to reinforce instruction.
• Administer tests, homework and makeup work as directed.
• Provide health support and basic first aid as instructed.
• Attend IEP meetings and communicate with teachers and school personnel.
