Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom activities and materials under supervision to reinforce IEP goals.
• Provide first aid and basic health support as directed by a health professional.
• Administer tests, homework, and make-up work to support instruction.
• Assist medically fragile students with daily needs and personal care.
• Monitor students for safety in various settings and during transitions.
• Attend trainings and IEP meetings to stay informed on plans and progress.
• Collaborate with teachers to evaluate student progress and implement IEP objectives.
• Support behavior plans and reinforce learning concepts under teacher supervision.
• Maintain instructional materials and records for mandated requirements.
• Provide instruction in small or large group activities to reinforce objectives.
• Respond to emergencies to ensure student safety.
• Assist with crisis intervention and, if trained, with appropriate restraint procedures.
• Support duties such as hall or bus supervision as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
