Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools is seeking a paraprofessional educator to support instructional programs and assist in supervising and teaching special needs students across classrooms and community settings. The role includes assisting in implementing IEP plans and monitoring behavior under teacher direction.

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional required by Georgia PSC with credentialing.
• High school diploma or GED plus required Praxis/GACE Parapro or college hours.
• Experience in a licensed child care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising and instructing special needs students in various settings.
• Adapt activities and reinforce IEP goals under supervision.
• Administer basic first aid and assist with daily student care.
• Record data and communicate with teachers and staff; attend IEP meetings.
