Job summary

Evergreen Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator at Fircrest Elementary School in Vancouver, WA. The role supports instruction for students with IEPs, with daily hours from 8:30 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.

on regular days, and shorter days on early-release days, totaling 190 workdays yearly. Starting immediately, the paraeducator will report to the Special Education Instructor and Building Principal.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet one or more: ETS ParaPro score 455+, an Associate Degree or higher, 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at 100 level+, or completion of a registered Paraeducator Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising instructional activities for students with special needs.
• Provide one-to-one and small group instruction as directed by the teacher.
• Support data collection for IEP goals and maintain confidentiality.
