Job summary

Mill Plain Elementary School in Vancouver, Washington is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator to support students with IEPs under the Special Services department.

Under the supervision of the Special Education instructor and building principal, you will provide one-to-one and small group instructional support, assist with classroom activities, and help implement behavior plans and data collection. Hours are 6.33 per day (7:40 a.m.–2:30 p.m.), 190 days per year, with an immediate start.

Qualifications

• Basic typing/keyboard skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents.
• Ability to work with and supervise students.

Responsibilities

• Provide special education services and supports to students eligible for special education.
• Assist in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) and adapting instruction.
• Maintain data on student progress and assist in assessing progress toward goals.
