Job summary

Evergreen Public Schools at Wy'East Middle School in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator. The position supports elementary and secondary students under the direction of the Special Education Instructor and Building Principal.

The role involves supervising instructional activities and working with students individually or in small groups. Minimum qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent and one of several credential options; state training will be provided

Qualifications

Must be 18+ years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must meet one of the following: ParaPro score 455+ or higher, associate degree or higher, 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at 100 level or higher, or completion of a Paraeducator Apprenticeship Program.
Upon hire, complete state required training offered through Evergreen School District.

Responsibilities

Assist in supervision of instructional activities and student engagement.
Work with students individually or in small groups under supervision of the Special Education teacher and building principal.
Carry out duties as described in the district’s standards for paraeducators and participate in required trainings.
