Job summary

Evergreen Public Schools at Pioneer Elementary School in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator to support students under the supervision of the instructor and building principal. The role runs 6.33 hours daily during the 190-school-year calendar, with early-release and full-Wednesdays variations.

Starting immediately, the position is temporary and student-focused. The Paraeducator assists in implementing IEP goals, collecting data, and supporting students with diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years old and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must meet one or more of these: ETS ParaPro 455+, Associate Degree or higher, 72 quarter credits/48 semester credits, or completed Paraeducator Apprenticeship.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents.
• Ability to work with and supervise students.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising instructional activities in the classroom.
• Provide one-to-one and small group instruction as directed to meet IEP goals.
• Assess student progress and maintain progress data.
• Prepare instructional materials and support behavioral management as outlined.
