Job summary

Pacific Middle School in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator to support students under the supervision of the Special Education instructor and building principal. The role includes supervision, instructional support, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The position offers part-time hours (6 hours/day, 9:35 a.m.–4:05 p.m., with 30 minutes unpaid lunch) and potential eligibility for state program requirements.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must meet one or more of the following: ParaPro score 455+ or Associate degree or 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at 100 level or higher or completed Paraeducator Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervision of instructional activities for students.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group instruction as directed by the teacher.
• Assist in organizing and preparing instructional materials and equipment.
• Support teachers with implementing IEP goals and progress data.
• Assist with student toileting and feeding as necessary.
• Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment.
