Job summary

Evergreen Public Schools’ Marrion Elementary School in Vancouver, WA, seeks a Special Education Paraeducator. You will support students with IEPs, assist the teacher, and help manage instructional activities during a 6.33-hour day (190 days/year).

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet one of: 455+ ParaPro/PRAXIS; Associate degree or higher; 72 quarter credits/48 semester credits at 100 level or higher; Paraeducator Apprenticeship Program.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group instruction as directed by the teacher.
• Assist in establishing a positive learning environment and support curriculum outcomes.
• Assess student progress and collect performance data to monitor IEP goals.
• Assist in administering and scoring tests and implement behavioral management strategies.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with student activities.
