Job summary

Evergreen Public Schools’ Cascade Middle School in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator to support students under the supervision of a classroom instructor and building principal. The role focuses on one-to-one and small group assistance, reinforcing instruction and behavior supports during the school day.

This temporary position runs 190 days per year, 6 hours daily (9:35 a.m.–4:05 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch) and 3.83 hours on early-release days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Passing ParaPro assessment or higher credential preferred.
• Associate degree or higher, or college coursework as listed in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Provide special education services and supports to eligible students as directed.
• Supervise instructional activities and work with students individually or in small groups.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents; support IEP goals.
