Job summary

Evergreen Public Schools seeks a Special Education Paraeducator to assist the Special Education instructor and building principal in supervising instructional activities for students requiring special education services. You will work one-to-one and in small groups, supporting IEP goals and data collection.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to adapt within a dynamic classroom, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a ParaEducator qualification (ETS ParaPro score 455+ or equivalent) or have an approved higher credential.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Ability to supervise students and work well in a team.
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate flexibility and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide special education services and supports to eligible students as directed by the teacher.
• Offer one-to-one and small group instruction aligned to IEP goals.
• Assist in maintaining a conducive learning environment and collect progress data.
• Prepare and organize instructional materials and assistive tech as needed.
• Attend trainings to stay current on needs of students receiving special education services.
