Job summary

Harmony Elementary School in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator to assist with instruction under the Special Education Instructor and Building Principal. The position covers multiple daily hours with 190 days per year and requires eligibility through state paraeducator qualifications.

Starting immediately, the role includes instructional support, data collection for IEPs, and adherence to district training requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Candidates must meet one or more qualifications listed (ETS ParaPro, Associate degree or higher, 72 quarter credits, or 48 semester credits, or Paraeducator Apprenticeship).
• Official transcripts or ETS results may be required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervision of instructional activities for students with IEPs.
• Provide one-to-one and small group instruction as directed by the teacher.
• Maintain learning environment aligned with curriculum goals.
• Collect and track student progress data toward IEP goals.
• Assist with testing, behavior management, and preparation of instructional materials.
