Job summary

Evergreen Public Schools at Legacy High School in Vancouver, WA, is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator. This part-time position supports instruction and works with students individually and in small groups under the Special Education Instructor and Building Principal.

The role requires meeting state qualifications, including a high school diploma or higher and, if needed, ParaPro assessment scores, or college credits.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Qualify via one of the following: ParaPro score, associate degree, or college credits.
• Completion of a registered Paraeducator Apprenticeship program if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising instructional activities with students individually or in small groups.
• Provide one-to-one and group instruction as directed by the teacher and meet IEP goals.
• Maintain data on student progress and assist in administering tests and assessments.
• Support behavioral management and prepare instructional materials as needed.
• Attend trainings and collaborate with teachers and related services staff.
