Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ESSA Title I: six college hours in early childhood or two years of work in early childhood are required for Title I schools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Apps.
• Ability to protect FERPA confidentiality and handle student information responsibly.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Ability to supervise students and support instructional plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with implementing instructional programs for students with disabilities.
• Support planning, organizing, and materials preparation for lessons.
• Assist with behavioral intervention plans and data collection.
• Promote a safe, caring, learning-conducive environment.
• Assist with assistive technology and AAC devices in the classroom.
• Maintain confidential records and participate in professional growth activities.
• Support student transitions between classes and assist with health-related student needs.
