Job summary

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with ESSA qualifications for Title I schools (six college hours in early childhood education or two years of related work).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• For Title I schools, ESSA-compliant qualifications apply: six semester hours in early childhood education or two years of related work experience.
• Maintain CPI certification and renew on schedule; CPI training provided by WCPSS if needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with coordinating instructional programs for special education students and IEPs.
• Assist with behavioral strategies and interventions as part of classroom support.
• Prepare and organize instructional materials and ensure availability as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle records and reports appropriately.
• Support student transitions between classes and monitor student safety.
