Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is seeking an Instructional Aide to support students in Grades K-12. You will assist with implementing IEPs, provide personalized guidance, and help create a positive, inclusive classroom and community environment.

Your role includes supervising students, tracking progress, and collaborating with educators to tailor instruction and behavioral strategies for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent w/ passage of basic skills test.
• Associate degree or higher in education or a closely related field preferred.
• Hold valid CA state driver's license or ability to obtain.
• Licensed paraprofessional/teaching assistant credential preferred.
• Experience with instruction, guidance or support to children in special education or behavioral health settings.
• Experience working with students with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders or related conditions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to create a supportive learning environment.
• Implement individualized instruction and behavioral interventions.
• Monitor student progress and communicate with teachers on outcomes.
• Assist with documentation, reports and data entry of student behavior and performance.
• Support students in developing academic, social and practical skills.
