Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is seeking an Instructional Aide to join our Special Education team serving students in Grades K-12. You will provide personalized support, supervise students, and assist with implementing each student’s IEP in classroom and community settings.

Collaborating with teachers, you’ll help deliver engaging instruction, monitor progress, and reinforce skills while maintaining a safe, welcoming learning environment that values all learners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or higher in education or a closely related field preferred.
• Hold currently or ability to obtain a state driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain crisis management training certification.
• Paraprofessional/teacher aide credential preferred.
• Experience with children in special education or behavioral health settings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to create a supportive learning environment.
• Implement individualized instruction and behavioral interventions.
• Monitor student progress and communicate with teachers regarding needs and successes.
• Support students in developing community, vocational, leisure, academic and social skills.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and document observations.
• Assist with preparation of behavioral reports and daily activity logs.
