Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs, a division of ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education, seeks an Instructional Aide II to deliver personalized support to K–12 students with special needs. You’ll implement IEP/ITP/PBIP-driven strategies, collaborate with teachers, and assist with classroom operations and student safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or closely related field.
• Ability to obtain CA Emergency 30 Day Sub Permit within 90 days of start.
• Valid CA driver’s license required.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience supporting children, preferably in special education.
• Experience with IEP/ITP/PBIP processes and behavioral supports.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized instructional support aligned with each student’s IEP/ITP/PBIP.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student progress.
• Provide physical care support and ensure student safety.
• Document student behaviors and contribute to progress reports and data sheets.
• Engage in data collection for Functional Behavioral Assessments and PBIS.
• Provide job coaching and vocational training on campus and in community sites.
• Assist with classroom operations, substitute teaching, and scheduling.
• Transport students as needed and support safe transportation on Spectrum vehicles.
