Job summary

ChanceLight Education in Newark, OH is seeking an Instructional Aide to join our Special Education team and support students with IEPs. You will collaborate with teachers to deliver individualized instruction, monitor progress, and help students develop essential skills in school and community settings.

This role requires patience, empathy, and a positive attitude, with a focus on safety, documentation, and ongoing professional growth within a mission-driven educational environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Associate degree or higher in education or related field preferred.
• Paraprofessional credential or licensure preferred; crisis management certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to foster a supportive, welcoming learning environment.
• Implement individualized instruction and behavioral interventions.
• Monitor student progress and communicate with teachers on outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality and document student behaviors and performance accurately.
• Assist with preparation of behavioral reports and activity logs.
