Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking an Instructional Aide to support students in a Special Education program for grades K-12. The role involves assisting with IEPs, providing personalized support, and collaborating with teachers to implement individualized instruction.

You will work in a student-centered, outcome-driven environment, helping students build essential skills across academic, social, and behavioral areas while maintaining confidentiality and participating

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; basic skills tested.
• Paraprofessional or similar credential preferred/in process.
• Experience assisting children in special education or behavioral health settings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to create a supportive learning environment.
• Implement individualized instruction and behavioral interventions on-site and in community settings.
• Instruct and monitor students during lessons, ensuring fidelity and progress toward goals.
• Track progress and communicate with teachers about successes and areas needing intervention.
• Manage student behavior consistently with school policies.
• Support students in developing community, vocational, leisure, academic, and social skills.
• Document student behaviors and performance; report observations.
• Prepare behavioral reports and daily activity logs; maintain documentation.
• Communicate with students, families, and staff regarding needs and progress.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and participate in accreditation activities.
